The two bedrooms are on opposite sides of the living area, giving guests added privacy. Each bedroom has its own bathroom and direct access to the patio. The first bedroom has a queen bed, while the second has two single beds that can be converted into a king bed if requested before arrival. A standard-size travel cot is also available. ☀ SOLAR POWER AND RELIABLE WATER
Heron Cottage is powered by solar panels with battery storage, with Eskom grid power available as a backup. Rainwater is harvested, filtered and stored in water tanks, while drinking water passes through a three-stage purification system. The cottage is also connected to the municipal water supply, providing a reliable alternative during dry periods.

Local shops close early, particularly over weekends. The nearby Savemor supermarket and liquor store usually close at around 14:00 on weekends, so guests may wish to stock up before arriving. Crossways Village, approximately 13 kilometres or a 20-minute drive away, has a Super SPAR, TOPS liquor store and pharmacy.
